Week end Andorra Luc et Katty 08 09 feb 09
This week end , Luc and Katty came over from France and It was epic ! Caravaning, snowboarding and Raclette Pârty ! What a mix
Friday evening Pizza session , Saturday we were at Andorra . After going to the snowboard rental shop ( and meet a colleague of mine) we headed off to Arinsal Vall nord, the road was sligthly slippery as the condition were very bad (wind , snow, white day, freezing cold and a bit of sunshine : 2 minutes !) but it did not stop us to have fun. For katty It was the first time on the slope with a snowboard ! She did really well ! ( as she had 3 teachers to show her ). It was so windy that only the slope for kids was open . Alicia and I did some run in the misty slope , we were seriously in need of a radar ! Luc and I went for a ride while the girls were having a coffee. It was so windy that the lift stopped at 2m from the arrival point . Stuck ther for 10 minutes ! cold wind and snow storm! Oh yes ! Anyway we finally went down the slope safely ( avoiding lost wandering skiers) and managed to find our way back to the coffee shop. 5pm Time to go back to the camping . We stopped by to do dome shopping . Shower , rest and Apero time ! A big Raclette ( 1kg of cheese) and then Uno game ! Pretty tired , my eyes were closing to easily !
Sunday Mornin breakfast Brioche and Jam ! We wisely decided to back the Seat ( as we thought we might find some snow on the road and had to put the chains on the tyres) and we did . Willing to go to Arcalis, we were deviated to Pal as the station was closed ( to much wind I guess). We stopped to place the chains and climb the slippery road . Pal resort is embedded in the forest and has the advantage to be protected from the wind . And Luckily the sun was there shining and powerfull! The morning session was a bit tidious ( I guess the cheese was not going down properly) . too many people on the slope, after a nice lunch , we spent the afternoon cruising on the slope and did a super powder session between the pine tree forest.Back to caravane for a light diner and ten back home ! full of excelent souvenir ! that was a pure snowboard week end shared with friend , totally delighted

TOSSA PLANA DE LLES adventures
From the 27th of december 2008 to 29th december 2008
We went to La Tossa Plana de Lles ( or Pic de la Portelleta) for a trekking and freeriding session with couple of friends. This little mountain which summit is located at 2916m above the sea level ( the second hightest in Cerdanya) is easy to access by car, although the road was not recognized by our GPS.
After leaving Murcia at 9 am and stopping by the lovely town of ALTEA , we reached our destination (the camping) at around 6pm . Time to fill up the car with our stuff (board, bags, helmet, food, sleeping bags, etc), we drove toward the refuge of Cap de Rec ( right on the GR11 pathway) where we would spend 2 nighst.
First, we met our friend at a near-by camping, in a chalet taht they have constructed themselves, and then we headed of to the refuge where a nice hot meal was waiting for us. We finished our dinner with a UNO card game and went off to bed to recharge the batteries.
28th of December 08:
AFter a big breakfast, we were getting ready to climb the 1000m slope. What an adventure !
Bag, helmet, board , talkie walkie etc ! we are fully prepared !!
The first 2H , we have been cruising through the forest and its pine trees. The mist bring an awkward sensation , a bit like in the BLAIR WITCH PROJECT movie (where is the map...?)
we finally passed the forest and arrive to a small refuge which is built just in front the hill .
It was the beginning of a long journey, full of mist , a tiny bit of wind and chilling cold. After a 6H walk we manage to climb and reach the summit. The sky opened up and a breathtaking scenary is exposing his beautifull mountains to us . The landscape is amazing.
After a well-deserved break ( eating some food and re-hydrating ) we are trying to go down on our snowboard, however, there are a lot of rock and the mist is so thick that we cannot see our feet.
Wisely, we decided to go back down the slope walking with our raquettes. After 15 minutes walking, my muscles were starting feel achy and hurting very badly: horrible cramps nailed me down on my knees. Impossible to move ! need to rest , eat a banana and drink isostar ! 30 min rest and we are again on our way back as it is getting very late and the mist is really getting creepy ! We got almost lost but thank to our friend Pau ( and his excelent notion of orientation, his GPS and compass) we are back on track and in the right direction back home .
6pm , it is getting darker and darker but we managed to arrive safely at the refuge ! we were exhauted but so much happy of our journey!shame we could not ride la Tossa plana but we´ll go back for sure.
Apero time, it is funny how a beer always taste better after a long trek ! shower time and then dinner , few glass of wine , a party of UNO and sleeping time !
29th december 2008: weather is bad , really bad, snowing misty , name it have it ! we decided not to carry our adventure and return to our caravane . We have to place the chain on to the tyres car . The road is really slippery ! and our way down back to the camping is a bit folklo!

VALLNORD FREESTYLE PARTY
Sadly We could note be there , a 40 degree fever and devil flue stuck me in bed for 3 days !
So we missed teh park opening session , the barbecue and the night fiesta party
In Arinsal , you have a nice shaped pipe, and big selection of all-sizes rails ( rainbow and picnic table included) and 3 kickers.
In Arcalis , a bit smaller park is presented to the crowd but very nice kickers

our first real adventure in Andora ( not taking in account the 1st time we went there , 2 weeks ago , when we had so much trouble with our car and the snow that I will not relate here our shameless story)
Alicia and I left on Saturday morning very early before the sun rise and the Panaderia (Bread shop) open ! Time to load the Seat with our bags and we are on the road to Andorra , taking directly the motorway . We reach the Tunel de Cadi at 10.00 am or so and we manage to hit our destibation at 11. We arrived safely at Vallnord ski station ,although there is in fact 3 different ski station : Pal, Arinsal et Arcalis . Not all of them are connected , but it is great to be able to ride in 3 stations with 1 pass !

We are so so happy to be there, the weather conditon are good ( no white day for the mountain) it is a bit windy and coldish but we are so delighted to be there that we do not really care. Arcalis is a very interesting station as there is everything close to our hand , a descent snowpark with several module and kickers and also an enormous slope of freeride ! This is absolty great . and there is not a lot of people. no time wasted in the lift queue , we can enjoy fully day. It is time for lunch and we deserve a full sandwich for smoked ham and chips ! joy and pleasure !
we are stcoked to be there . After this excelent lunch , we hit back the slope. The wind is freezing and make the snow harder to ride . I hit the small kicker of the snowpark , reception a bit sketchy but ok. Last run together with Alicia , it is 4.30 and we decide to go back to Andorra la Vella city to do some window shopping ( and also find an helmet for me). This city is amazing , it is a mix between Monaco and Neuchatel ( in Swizterland ) If you love Xmas decoration and big shops than go there ! We visited KillVill , a well built snowboard shop, whe you can find all the Burton collection amd more such as The Signal Park 152 (I love this board), we did sevral shop. We found that for electonic and alcohool/cigarett it is seriously cheaper but for the rest , nothing to be crazy about, the price are similar than any good surf shop in BCN. It is 6.00 pm and time to dirve down to our Camping we have rented a caravan for 30 euro ! Yes 15 euro each , and it is great! After having a coffe with a friend of us , we have apero and then a 2 meal dish , hot , fatty but so good ! Pyrennees gastronomy is so yummy . A bottle of wine later and few phone call to find out that Alicia and I are Uncle and Antie, it is time to go to bed although we wnated to watch Barca Madrid football match ( but the TV receptor was not working properly). After a good night rest for me and a hard waking up session for Alicia (morning sickness due to indigestion, she will remember it) I look at out if the windiw it has been dumping big time ! 15cm of fresh snow in the Frontera camping. So we imagined the same on the slopes. And Yes , it is snowing , white day bt the snow condition are excelent . Alicia and I decide to do a little run off-piste in 20cm of fresh ! what a feeling , pure sensation !
Then it is time to head off Barcelona , and we arrived home 3 H later
A superb week end !

Mes chers concitoyens-snowboardeurs, il est temps d’agir.
Depuis des années, les professionnels du snowboard poussent les autorités à enfin libérer le snowboard du joug de la fédération de ski, et à créer un brevet d’état indépendant. Cela existe déjà chez tous nos voisins. Il n’y a qu’en France, où l’on doit encore passer des épreuves de ski pour enseigner le snowboard, ou doivent aller voir les ESF pour prendre des cours. Un monopole qui ne repose sur rien et qui a assez duré, car il empêche les professionnels du snow d’avoir les retombées de leur travail, ou aux anciens pros de se reconvertir en instructeurs, etc. Un prof de snowboard venu d’Allemagne pour enseigner aux Deux Alpes avait d’ailleurs fait condamner l’état français au regard de la loi européenne, il y a quelques années. Mais le lobby du ski a réussi à maintenir les chose en l’état depuis. Mettons fin à ce scandale, les choses sont prêtes à bouger, alors aidez-nous à mettre le dernier petit coup de pousse : signez en masse cette pétition. Et faites-la passer à toutes vos connaissances.

LMA snowboard outerwear
a nice concept and a cool design
LMA was founded in 2002. It is the first Russian brand of hi-thech outerwear for snowboard and new school skiing made especially for advanced and expert riders and professional riders alike. We believe that the main point in brands' development and gaining respect is introducing your own style and ideology.
Our ideology has been formed within 4 seasons of work. And that is it. While snowboard and new school outerwear brands go more and more into fashion, our style is more focused on development and improvement of patterns, features and in search of proper fabrics. Within this period we have formed LMA own style that is obvious even to the most exigent riders at the moment. We think so. We develop LMA brand within our own rules, in our own directions. We do not want to rush after others. We try to develop and move our own ideas.
While these 4 seasons we have produced 5 collections of outerwear (including 06-07 collection). We make
a lot of changes and improve our garments year after year. Each year we have more garments, minimum 2 times bigger. The variety of items also increases. 04-05 collection was well sold and the profit increased 2,5 times in comparison with the previous season. After that LMA occupied its position in the top 5 of the brands sold on the Russian snowboarding stuff market.
2004-2005 collection was well sold in Russia. And not only in huge cities, but in many far distant regions as well.
At the present moment you can find LMA garments in the following countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland, France, England, Spain, Germany, Austria, South Korea, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. LMA brand takes part in ISPO Munich (the biggest trade show in Europe) since 2004 and in the biggest Russian Trade Show "Ertzog" since 2003. We plan to continue this tradition and participate in other interesting events.
While working on our 06-07 collection we intended to show everybody that the clothes designed in Russia is worth your attention and is quite competitive on the international market today. We want to show you that freedom, style and original designs within our garments are not just simple words. All these things are invested into our production - and you can see the results with your own eyes.

the big players such as Burton, Ride, Nitro and Salomon have really expanded their collection while small companies sucha as Rome, Technine Bataleon, Sapient, Ftwo are spreading their wings.
The new comer Uniq, Rough, True, Signal are developing big. This year we are going to see the progress on the adrverse camber and the magnetraction (LIB Tech) . never tried it myself but would love too

UniQ snowboard design and Ride contest
Hola
Having a huge passion for snowboard but also graphism, design street art (miss van) and clothing garment for snowboard, I am always looking into puting some creativity down onto paper of photoshop (love making my own brushes)
So have created several board designs that I have submitted to different contest but so far nothing got through but the motivation is still strong so I will carry on doing that , it makes me happy.
I am also participated to LOWLIFE belt design and EESA lux layering contest for designing blet and first layers.
Inspired by POOK and AVALAAN artists , I wish to continue expressing the raclo style that lives inside of me.

raclo history story
Once upon a time... The story of The Raclo Foundation crew could have started like this ... but it all begun when the first (hu)man became a Raclo: a gipsy king ... a real manouche ! ...and the legend says that it happened in a little pub in remoted village of France by a full moon night. Sir Damiano de Bagnardi (also called Bagnos) was bitten by a warewolf gispsy and then the transformation occured, well in other term the revelation appeared to him. A raclo was born: Sir Bagnos started to dance the Millya and showing a golden neckless shining and swinging around his neck. Geared up with a whisky glass on his left hand and a fag on his right , he was telling stories to his soulmates about shredding racling, dancing, and having fun on the slope of snow heaven Many of his fellows were intringued by Sir Damien's strange new cool'n'the gang like behaviour but soon all of them , more or less without noticing it, they followed the prophecy and his mentor. The Raclo Foundation crew was created and is gathering now many friends wih the same spirit of shredding all the mountain slopes like the fun lovin and criminal on stage !
