This week end , Luc and Katty came over from France and It was epic ! Caravaning, snowboarding and Raclette Pârty ! What a mix
Friday evening Pizza session , Saturday we were at Andorra . After going to the snowboard rental shop ( and meet a colleague of mine) we headed off to Arinsal Vall nord, the road was sligthly slippery as the condition were very bad (wind , snow, white day, freezing cold and a bit of sunshine : 2 minutes !) but it did not stop us to have fun. For katty It was the first time on the slope with a snowboard ! She did really well ! ( as she had 3 teachers to show her ). It was so windy that only the slope for kids was open . Alicia and I did some run in the misty slope , we were seriously in need of a radar ! Luc and I went for a ride while the girls were having a coffee. It was so windy that the lift stopped at 2m from the arrival point . Stuck ther for 10 minutes ! cold wind and snow storm! Oh yes ! Anyway we finally went down the slope safely ( avoiding lost wandering skiers) and managed to find our way back to the coffee shop. 5pm Time to go back to the camping . We stopped by to do dome shopping . Shower , rest and Apero time ! A big Raclette ( 1kg of cheese) and then Uno game ! Pretty tired , my eyes were closing to easily !
Sunday Mornin breakfast Brioche and Jam ! We wisely decided to back the Seat ( as we thought we might find some snow on the road and had to put the chains on the tyres) and we did . Willing to go to Arcalis, we were deviated to Pal as the station was closed ( to much wind I guess). We stopped to place the chains and climb the slippery road . Pal resort is embedded in the forest and has the advantage to be protected from the wind . And Luckily the sun was there shining and powerfull! The morning session was a bit tidious ( I guess the cheese was not going down properly) . too many people on the slope, after a nice lunch , we spent the afternoon cruising on the slope and did a super powder session between the pine tree forest.Back to caravane for a light diner and ten back home ! full of excelent souvenir ! that was a pure snowboard week end shared with friend , totally delighted
